Mr. Yosuke Masuko, owner of Pizza 4P’s restaurant, was a former financial strategist from Tokyo. In 2008, he moved to Vietnam to work for a financial venture in Hanoi. Soon he began finding ways to strike out as an entrepreneur and developed a love for this dish. He and his Japanese employee has been self-taught cheese making by watching videos on Youtube with the purpose for his pizzeria, then he started his cheese-making business right here in Vietnam. He later traveled to the motherland of pizza in Italy and other European cities where he learned how to make pizza. Having inspired a passion for traditional wood-fired beauties in his native Tokyo, Mr. Yosuke Masuko has shaken up Saigon

Con Ga Trong has successfully brought out the picture of a typical Vietnamese countryside village at first impression. The Khmer- themed design of decoration is artfully transformed to atmosphere of the place through every single detail. From the open green garden with those bamboo hedges and pandanus palms bush next to that old water jar or its mini size version as creative drink containers to the antique four- faced Buddha statue accompanied by the flowered tiles adapted from the late 1990s,… all together with appetizing menu perfectly combine and create such a distinguishing retro Khmer cuisine place to eat right in the heart of a crowded Saigon. So fittingly and harmoniously!

The history of pho is not ancient: although there is little written history. It is believed that this delicious noodle soup came in to existance after French colonisation - it is the French who popularised the consumption of red meat. The word pho is also believed to be a variant of the French "feu" (meaning "fire", which has identical pronunciation to pho). Tthe French also have a traditional beef stew called "Pot au Feu", made from slowly cooking cartilaginous pieces of beef for many hours under low heat. The rice noodles and mixed herbs used in the dish are of Chinese influence. from the Dragons Host.

Let me just start out by saying that if you want to get a glass of wine in District 1, there should be no other conversation happening other than: “What time do you want to meet at Brix?” I had no idea going into this establishment how excited I would end up leaving, having found a place to find a Gruner Veltliner (beautifully crisp Austrian white wine), a bar manager that knows his stuff, and a menu that is the perfect size with variations that actually make sense in a cheese bar concept. Chill Skybar Saigon is one of the most popular nightspots in Ho Chi Minh City. Located in District 1, this rooftop bar and clubs sits on the 25th floor of AB Tower and attracts a lively crowd who are dressed to impress and keen to party. There is a strictly enforced dress code here, so make a little effort if you plan to enjoy a cocktail up here (and definitely don’t wear Birkenstocks or flip-flops).

At the turn of the 20th century, this magnificent building, designed by French architect Ferret Eugene, was built as a classical opera house with 800 seats to entertain French colonists. Anyone who has been to France can recognize many similarities between the Opera House and the Petit Palais. In fact, just like the Reunification Palace, the applied ornament, balustrades, cartouches, and roof were imported directly from France. After 1956, the house functioned as home of the Lower House Assembly of Southern Vietnam. It’s not until 1975 that the opera house was restored to its original purpose of use.
