City advice

Travelling with kids

Bring a babyseat for the taxi ride, or book one in advance

Please bear in mind when traveling with an infant. By law taxis cannot travel with a baby without a carseat. Either bring your own carseat or book a taxi that has carseats. Legends Taxis in Brooklyn (1 888 534 3637) can provide taxi pick up with carseats
Ways to save

Public transport is the cheapest and quickest way to ride.

To get around the city the best idea is to get a Metrocard, click the Value option at the machine and that will give you a set amount to add to the card. You can travel the buses and the Subway with this.
Book before you go

Broadway Shows and Concerts

Always a good idea to book before you come as productions can sell out quickly well in advance.
Customs and culture

When ordering Pizza, order by the slice.

Ordering a whole Pizza will mean you eating Pizza for the next couple of days - they are huge. Try ordering a few slices and choosing a few different combinations.
