Tired of the hustle and bustle of downtown. Slip across I-35 for some cheap Vietnamese in this strip mall restaurant. Great art and music inside make for a nice experience. We often get takeout.

This is a great place to walk around on a weekend morning (or afternoon). It has a big hill with views on downtown, a splash pad for kids to play in and plenty of open gassy areas for a picnic.

A must visit for any Austin trip. The springs are gorgeous, but a bit chilly (70 degrees). Nearby playground is the biggest around and there's a train that goes through the park for kids.
