Ok, this is not the greatest grocery store in the world, but it's a 15 minute walk from the apartment and you can get most essentials there. There is a cart in the closet if you're walking and want to be able to haul a bunch of groceries back.

Bernal Heights is a special place with friendly neighbors, lovely views and a comfortable vibe. Parking is not too bad in this neighborhood, but public transportation is good. I'd say leave your car at home.
