This place has been in Sacramento for over 50 years and is one of the best high end Chinese restaurant/bars you will find. It appears to be a hole in the wall but when the door opens be prepared for a beautiful experience.

Those seeking fancy fajitas or fruity margaritas should look elsewhere, as 524 serves up traditional, no-nonsense Mexican at low prices. This is the place to come for a cold beer, a fat enchilada and salsa hot enough to knock you out of your huaraches. Locals like the complimentary soup as well as the combination plates that include all the typical south-of-the-border favorites: tacos, enchiladas, burritos, Chile re-llanos and the like. Another location is open downtown on 12th Street.
