A delightful bakery with great bread, try the pain tradition. The cakes and chocolates are out of this world and the croissants and quiches are delicious. You can also take a coffee and snack in the pleasant inside seating area.

On the slopes of Morzine. You need to book this lovely small traditional restaurant as it is very popular. Not overly expensive and you will get great service and food here. Real Savoie food, an absolute must in my view!

A lovely up market restaurant that was completely renovated in around 2014. High quality food which is well prepared and presented. There is an open-plan kitchen and an outdoor seating area with an open fire. Not the cheapest restaurant in Morzine but well worth the extra. Try the chefs table, you wont be disappointed. You must make a reservation during the busy periods.

Over 800 steps, but worth it. This is a fantastic gorge but its not for the faint hearted. You are accompanied by a guide for the visit and it takes between 40-50 minutes to walk through. It really is worth a visit and is approximately 15 minutes drive from Chalet Romand.

The old goat village of Les Lindarets. A village popular in winter for its snow and in summer for its goats! A genuine bygone world with its ancient chalets, Alpine meadows and of course its celebrated goats. With goats galore roaming the pathways, it’s an incredible sight. Les Lindarets is also celebrated for its great food and restaurants. Many serving up menus full of popular Savoyard dishes and local specialities. So why not make time for lunch on the village's many sun terraces so you can enjoy a meal packed with flavours harking back to times gone by. And all this on Chalet Romand's doorstep no more than 10 minutes drive.

This really is a beautiful picturesque lake, both summer and winter. Walking, pony trekking, cycling, swimming, canoes and paddle boards to rent, ice diving in winter, it has it all!!! It is perfect for kids as there is a small lake next to the main one which is enclosed, fresh, clean and safe. A great place to sunbathe and swim. Free parking and with two restaurants to chose from, what more could you want! Absolutely stunning. What's more, its a 5 minute drive from Chalet Romand.

Yvoire is a medieval city built in the early 14th century which has been perfectly preserved. Located on Lake Geneva, between Geneva and Evian, the village of Yvoire is nicknamed the “gem of the lake”. Its around a 40 minutes drive from Chalet Romand. In the fortified center, you will travel back to the Middle-Age's. Visit the castle or the Gardens or just wander round the alleys with its many shops and restaurants. Enjoy one of the terraces to sip a glass of wine or have dinner in front of the spectacular landscape. Its magical.
