Food scene

This is a fun restaurant for casual food in a lively setting. It's one of my favorite places to go for lunch or a casual dinner, especially if it's nice enough to eat on the water

This Italian restaurant is great for a date, groups, or kids. It's less casual than Ol' Savanna but less spendy than Ship to Shore :)

The last thing you expect in Kingston is a James Beard acknowledged Jamaican restaurant. This is a great meal. Highlights are the jerk chicken, rice and peas, and plantains. the hot sauce is delightful

City advice

Recommended hikes

Hiking is so popular in the Hudson Valley! Airbnb doesn't let me include links in this page, but I include the names If you're looking to stay local in Kingston itself, you can see a list of the best hikes by googling "All Trails Kingston NY" "Meyers Road and Wintergreen Trail Loop" is the MOST close to the property and simple A short, cute one nearby is the Falling Waters Preserve. Kaaterskill Falls is nearby, and has some really gentle hikes, or things that are slightly more challenging If you want to see even more, you can view a map on "All Trails"
Getting around

Lots of big box stores

There are also lots of "big box" stores for any necessities you may want. There's a large plaza including Target, Home Depot, CVS, Starbucks, grocery stores, and any other shopping need all in one place
