There are no busy shopping centers, no quickly walking businessmen, and no honking traffic jams (most of the time).
Relax and chill are the people's attitudes in Christchurch.
The broken Cathedral and beautiful Hagley Park are just standing there and welcoming you.
This is a small park along the Avon River. It's always quiet and beautiful. There are some cherry blossom trees on the side of the river as well. There are a lot of ducks, Canada gooses and swans in the river.
It's so close to my house, you will find it relaxing walking in this park.

Mt Hutt is a good commercial ski resort near Christchurch. It has been voted New Zealand’s best ski resort seven years running at the World Ski Awards.
It's about one and a half hours drive from my house. Prepare for it and wake up super early in the wintertime! It will be an unforgettable trip for years.

Mt Hutt is a good commercial ski resort near Christchurch. It has been voted New Zealand’s best ski resort seven years running at the World Ski Awards.
It's about one and a half hours drive from my house. Prepare for it and wake up super early in the wintertime! It will be an unforgettable trip for years.
This is actually the closest ski filed from Christchurch. It's not that commercialized compared with Mt Hutt. But it's always less crowded and feels more chill.
There is one chairlift at the bottom, then 3 T-Bars to the top of the mountain. If you haven't tried T-Bar in your ski experience, this will be quite special.
