Food Scene

This pizza place is the favorites of most locals, including myself. They have many specialty pizzas as well as they more common types. They also have tasty salads, a few sandwiches, soup, and deserts. They have an array of personally brewed beer on tap. I personally like to order to go, because it can be a pretty redicilously long wait, but that is only because theyir food as so good! Atmosphere is jeans/t-shirt, or shorts, so no need to dress up. A lot of times people are coming back from hikes or a rock climbing adventure, and have worked up an appetite. They also are the main venu for concerts here in Anchorage, throughout the summer, so check their calander.

Simon’s(as the locals call it), is down on the waterfront, and is fine dining. Usually people are dressed up somewhat, out on dates or celebrating birthdays. They have steaks, prime rib, chowder, deep friend jumbo prawn. Pricing is higher need, although the food is excellent and worth it if you are in the mood for a little fancier lunch or dinner.

The Alaska Railroad Train is a cool way to get around, up to Denali or to Seward for the day, if Yoshi g have a car or would rather sit back and relax, while someone else gets you from point A t point B. The view on the train going either way, is spectacular!!

Fred Meyer is one of two main grocery stores in Anchorage. They have just about anything from food, to electronics, to houseware, camping gear, bikes, liquor, a deli and much more. They have more of a selection of “other” items, than their biggest competitor, which is CARRS.
