A community of cottages flanking all sides of the lake! It is a great neighbourhood, a friendly and peaceful place. The freshwater lake is bigger than it looks (10.28 acre) and we have the long view of the lake. Turtles, ducks, small mouth bass, pickerel and loons live in the lake. Motorized boats are permitted and users are canoes, kayaks, SUP boards, and jet skis, pontoon and other motor boats. Sit on the deck and enjoy the show! Nearest Drive-Thru Coffee-7 KM south on Aylesford Rd. Hutchinson’s Acres, one of Canada’s premier maple syrup producer, has a shop nearby with a full menu of excellent coffees and teas with sweets and varieties of maple syrup and syrup other products. Closet Town for Amenities

The Town of Berwick , about 15 minutes from here. Here you will find great restaurants, a micro-brewery, grocery stores, a drug store, public library, a gym, arena, shopping, ATM, NSLC, gas stations, ice cream shop, pizza shops, hardware store, and trails for walking, biking or ATV riding. Frenchy’s is a hit for the second-hand shoppers and there are tennis courts for the sporty! Check out the Town of Berwick on Facebook for posts of events happening when you are in the area!

Just 16 km away is a great place to see a large variety of zoo animals! A real gem in Nova Scotia. Be sure to go at supper time to see them being fed by staff! I recommend seeing the big cats being fed! There is a canteen and also picnic tables if you wish to dine in the fresh air.

Sightseeing- a pretty drive and the ocean!

If you love the ocean, a 15 minute drive will get you to Harbourville and another 10 minutes to Halls Harbour! Look for waterfalls! Both are a must to appreciate our small but picturesque fishing communities. Buy fresh seafood to bring home and cook outside the cottage please! Or go to Halls Harbour to dine in or on the patio at the newly renovated restaurant! It’s gorgeous!

This is such a picturesque fishing village where you can walk the beach, splash in a waterfall, enjoy beautiful sunsets and buy fresh seafood. It is a local place to go when you need the cool ocean breezes, the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves. A photographers dream. It soothes your soul.

Walk the beach, see the waterfall, visit the gift shop, art gallery, lobster pound, and dine at the beautiful oceanfront restaurant, it’s newly renovated and affordable! Love seafood? You won't be disappointed if you choose to dine here, the food and views are great! It is a seasonal restaurant and not open in winter. Call ahead.
