If you are visiting Lyons in the summer on a Thursday and have time to bring a grab take-out and "picnic" in the park, this is a locals favorite. There is a free concert every Thursday night in the summer starting at 6:30PM

The best summer tubing, wading, picnic experience on the Front Range! This is a beautiful park - walk-in and enjoy the river, gas fire-pit at night. Also has a winter wonderland skate rink with skates you can rent on weekends (on site).

Bohn Park was also washed away in the 2013 100-year flood in Lyons. It has been renovated with a river walk, wading, picnicking, fishing, etc. It's usually quieter than LaVern Johnson Park..and its free!

Walk up the road to a gorgeous mountain reservoir (no recreation access) or make a 5-mile roundtrip on a trail. You can also access Hall Ranch from this trail head - great shuttle for a long trail run
