Neighbourhoods

We live on the border between Peckham and Camberwell. Peckham is cool and artsy but also rough at the edges. Hipsters and art students rub shoulders with a vibrant multi-cultural community. If you explore you'll find rooftop bars, street food, cafes, market stalls, venues, craft shops, and restaurants.

Sightseeing in SE London

Central London needs no introduction but here are a couple of destinations closer to home.
Spend a day out in South London. Dulwich Village is a picturesque village that has escaped urbanisation and retains a quaint countryside feel. It is an incredibly wealthy neighbourhood, with nice restaurants, several famous boarding schools, a large beautiful park, and two galleries. Dulwich Picture Gallery has an incredible collection of old masters and the Horniman museum's eclectic displays focus on anthopolgy and the natural world.

Eltham Palace is easily missed but a great place to visit from our house. A medieval royal palace that was once home to Henry VIII, restored more recently in an art deco style by the Courtauld family. Just a few stops away on the train.
