Getting around
Utah Drivers
Utah drivers are notorious for running red lights, absentmindedly tailgating, and speeding. Please drive with extra caution!
Customs and culture
Alcoholic Beverages
Utah has very strict liquor laws. If you want something fancier than average beer (which you can find in most supermarkets), then you will need to visit a state liquor store, where they will always card you.
Drink responsibly and please NEVER drink and drive!
Getting around
Ski Bus / Winter Canyon Driving
Canyons close due to snow; keep extra water and food and chains in your car just in case.
Parking is limited up at the ski resorts. It might be worth looking into the ski bus, particularly if you are nervous about canyon driving, snow driving, or parking. Check out UTA’s website for ski bus offerings.
Ski Bus parking is located just outside of the neighborhood, next to the Walgreens on 9400 South.
What to pack
Pack a water bottle!
If you are coming from a more humid climate, you may be thirstier than normal. Pack a water bottle and keep it filled!
