Float the River

Three spots I would recommend going to. 1. City Park to Rio Vista Park 2. Dan's Fish Camp (Shuttle) 3. Texas State Tubes
This is the spot to grab a tube and jump on in! 0.6 miles down the river will take you to Rio Vista Park, the most popular park in town and a good spot to get out. I have 6 tubes that you can borrow, if you need more tubes the Sam Marcos Lions Club tube rental near City park can help.

You can drive and park here. You can pay for tubes and the shuttle to take up up the river where they will drop you in. After floating down you will end up back where you can get into your car. This float will last about 3~4 hours.

Some items to pack

Water shoes for the river, sun glasses, a water proof speaker, a cooler and extra bag of ice are nice for a float.
