Plaza Padu is a brand new public plaza in the center of the historic Orangestad in Aruba and makes for an exceptional setting to host an outdoor evening event for up to 500 people. The plaza is set among restored colonial buildings, and it has a beautiful water fountain which is illuminated with colored lights at night. This Plaza Padu is dedicated to Juan Chabaya 'Padu' Lampe, one of the authors of Aruba’s National Hymn “Aruba Dushi Tera”, which means Aruba Sweet Land. Our pictures show a bronze sculpture installed in Plaza Padu in March 2017. The sculptural group by local artist Ciro Abath pays tribute to Juan Chabaya Lampe, Rufo Wever and Hubert Boi for their contribution to the composition of the national anthem.

In Aruba we don't have President. But we have Prime Minister. Her office is here with the view of port. In the same building is the parliament cuase we are part of the Dutch Kingdom. And next door the Government Office who is here in the name of the King.

Queen Wilhelmina Park is a beautiful seaside park located in the Oranjestad Aruba.  It features one statue of Queen Wilhelmina and another to Anne Frank. The park is one of the city's top tourist attractions.  Visitors can often find wild iguanas near the waterfront

Not only do they fresh squeeze their juices and create delicious homemade syrups, but they also create bespoke drinks. All you need to do is tell the bartender what spirit you want and the flavor profile you’re into, and they will create a drink, just for you. And, as I experienced, they don’t hold back to make your dream cocktail a reality. Nothing simple here. Although, if you asked, I’m sure they would be happy to wow you with a three-ingredient cocktail.
