Food Scene

Some of the best coffee in Seattle, roasted in house. One of my favorite places to curl up and read a book (especially when it's raining outside).

If you need to do some late night studying or work, this is the closest coffee shop to my apartment. It's open til 1am, and the vintage decor, snacks, beer, and wine make it one of my favorites.

The original Top Pot donuts (or at least that's what I'm told), just a few blocks away. I recommend a chocolate glazed old fashioned & a cup of coffee - and don't forget your book or newspaper.

Whenever I can't decide where to eat or drink, Oddfellows is always the answer. Any time of day, everything there is always just right. And the atmosphere can't be beat.

Drinks & Nightlife

One of Seattle's best kept secrets - a speakeasy only a block away from my apartment, with some of the best cocktails you've probably ever had. Be sure to make a reservation (walk-ins are tough).

Everything Else

One of my favorite things about Seattle is the huge parks that seem to hide themselves in the middle of the city. Volunteer Park has so much to explore - and lots of grass ripe for picnicking!

If you're visiting for the first time, Pike Place is a must see - if you're cooking at the apartment, this is THE place to get fresh produce and fish.

There's something magical about Elliott Bay Books. If you're a bookworm like me, you'll easily spend a few hours here and walk out with a few more books than you planned. Plus, there's a cafe inside.
