Guide Part 1

The secret is out! Since CoVID-19 closed borders, Sydney siders have discovered a well kept secret closer to home. The Bouddi Peninsular is on the lower Central Coast only 55 mins north from Hornsby via Woy Woy, passing Ettalong Beach over the Rip Bridge, then taking a right up the hill to Bouddi National Park. The area is blessed with the famous Bouddi National Park camping & Coastal Walk. Bush trails with scattered views looking over the Pacific Ocean, Broken Bay & Brisbane Waters - often gifting you with a bay or beach at the end - this area is the perfect weekend getaway.

Guide Part 2

At the top in Killcare Heights is the famed Bells at Killcare, boutique hotel, restaurant & spa. Hang a right and you will find Killcare Beach Kiosk & at the north end, the family-friendly Putty Beach. On the other side is Hardys Bay Village - with the Killcare Cellars & General Store, The Fat Goose, Hardys Bistro, The Lucky Bee, Perfect for a bayside picnic whilst watching the sunset. Keep on going and you’ll find the community-run Hardy’s Bay Club with live music & great pub grub.

Guide Part 3

At the end of the peninsular you will find Wagstaffe Store & “Waggie” Wharf where you will find the local kids here enjoying ice-creams & hot chips whilst swinging out over the tiny beach & fishing off the wharf. The area is a mix of locals & Sydney weekenders which, when empty, are available as holiday rentals. There are local babysitters if you plan a night out, and most clubs offer a shuttle service for a small fee.

Broken Bay Pearl Farm Tours. Hire a BBQ boat @ Boat, Bike & Paddle Hire Central Coast. Catch the ferry from Wagstaffe Wharf over to Ettalong have a coffee at The Box & take a stroll around to Umina Beach, or stay on the ferry and enjoy the scenic ride over to Palm Beach, then up to the lighthouse on Barrenjoey Head. Killcare Beach, Putty Beach, Lobster Beach, Tallow Beach, Maitland Bay Walks & Lookouts: Mary Byles lookout, Rocky Point trail to Alan Strom lookout, Bouddi Coastal Walk, Flannel Flower track, Box Head walking.
