Best fish and chips in town! This is essentially a food truck, but it's parked on a wharf, so you couldn't get a better view anywhere else! Be sure to get there early - they often sell out of food by 6pm!

A Victoria institution! Murchie's has been around forever and brews it's own blend of teas and coffee. This is a great lunch spot, and the pastries are to die for! The scones with clotted cream and jam are a must!

This is a new vegan place that offers tasty alternatives, which makes it a great choice if you happen to be gluten free/vegan/vegetarian/lactose or dairy free. There are a lot of delicious and inventive items on the menu.

Victoria is known for it's traditional English tea. Skip the high price tag at The Empress, and go to the White Heather - the food is better tasting and better priced!

This is one of our favourite places to eat. The setting could not be more lovely and the food is awesome. Choose between a reasonably-priced meal in the pub, or make a reservation in their small and exclusive dining room for a unique experience - either way, you'll eat some great food. Be sure to take a trip out to the patio afterwards to take in the view.

This is our family favourite and we eat here at least once a week. Yasser the owner makes the best pizza in town, and they've always got some great fresh bread, amazing salad, or yummy new dessert to try. Fig doesn't look like much from the outside, but the people and the food are top notch.

Drinks & Nightlife

We love a late night drink at Steamship. Go after all the big dinner crowds have left and enjoy some champagne and amazing dessert.

This is our local grocer and has been run by the same family for over 30 years. They've always got some weekly specials, the deli is great, and there's lots of options for those with special dietary concerns.

Entertainment & Activities

Our family gets an annual pass here every year. Not only is it located on the waterfront in Sidney, it is the perfect place for those with kids under 10 years of age. Lots of hands-on learning about local marine life. Plus, it's surrounded by some great restaurants and there is often live music in the park along the waterfront.
