Restaurants and Takeaway

I have lived in Glasgow for around 5 years and am a big fan of trying new restaurants and takeaways and the places listed below are some of my personal favourites.
BEST PIZZA IN GLASGOW (West End) - Great pizza, awesome specials, Really reasonably priced, take away and sit in. You cant book but when you turn up, if it is full they will give you a time - usually no more than 20mins to come back and there are plenty of great bars around while you wait (I would suggest "Inn Deep" which is just round the corner) - If you like pizza it really is worth the wait even if you are hungry!!

Really good Chinese takeaway just round the corner (Best one I have found in Glasgow) - I would really recommend that Chicken Satay (Malaysian Style), Salt and Pepper Mozzarella Sticks (I know it is not traditionally Chinese but they are just great), Stornoway Black Pudding Spring Rolls (Scottish/Chinese fusion) and the Kom Po King Prawn.

Fantastic tapas style Persian food. Really great flavours in everything and you can get as much or as little as you like as it all comes as small dishes. The Monkfish curry is really good. It is one of the more pricy places on this list but well worth it if you like curries. Great for everyone, would make a good destination for a business dinner or special meal out.

Eat in or take away Sushi/Japanese - Loads of choice and you can get a mixture of starters (I would recommend Chicken Karaage), main meals (I would recommend Yum Yum chicken) and sushi (I would recommend Mini Prawn and Spicy Tuna Roles or Salmon Skin Maki)

Drinks and Nightlife

Glasgow has a massive range of great bars and nightlife suitable for every occasion. Here are some of my top tips on where to get a drink.
A really good beer bar beside the River Kelvin which occupies some old tunnels beside the bridge. Good range of beers and you can sit out by the river.
