Tom and I dine here at least once a week! The food is consistently good. The service is fast although they are slow to clear the table. It’s not located downtown don’t let the strip mall vibe deter you. The interior is welcoming. Great Vegetarian selections. Clean sushi offerings as well.

Best take out. Yoshoku stopped table service during the pandemic but continues to offer take out food. Their poke bowls are delish, they pickle all their own vegetables. There are several vegetarian options as well. Grab a poke bowl and drive over to Indigeny for a cider enhanced picnic.

Arroyo offers traditional Mexican fare with a flare! Beautiful presentation of food. The guacamole is made to order. Limited outdoor seating above the creek. At a recent lunch my friend had chicken sopasitas and I had the vegan bowl. Really good.

Hard Cider Tasting Room

Love this hard cider. It’s available in all our supermarkets, but if you have a chance visit the tasting room. It’s a 45 minute walk from the cabin door to your first tasting. Its about a 30 minute drive. Indigeny is a lovely setting with picnic tables and trails thru the apple orchard and Phoenix Lake.

Yoga

Hey that’s me in the blue yoga pants! I opened the studio in 2004-the Yoga Loft was the first studio dedicated to yoga in Tuolumne County. I am no longer the owner but I can highly recommend the studio and it’s high caliber instructors. https://yogaloftsonora.com

Getting around

Try YARTS if you can’t get a Yosemite reservation.

https://yarts.com . Round trip bus service to Yosemite Valley. Included in the fare is admission fee to the park. The senior discount is generous. I utilize the bus for my summer trips to Yosemite. Saves the hassle of trying to find parking. Only operates May- September.
