This is the trailhead for the segment of the Appalachian Trail / Long Trail that goes to the summit of Bromley mountain. Perfect ~4 hour summer hike. Incredible views!

Swimming and hiking! This is a great medium difficulty ~3 hour hike with Lye Brook waterfall at the end. If it's hot and you want to swim, pull off as soon as you pull onto Glen Road and park and head down toward the swimming hole in the river.

Best local booze

Citizen Cider’s Dirty Mayor, a Vermont hard cider that has a ginger kick. Available where beer is sold.

Dining at the Dorset Inn

Easily one of the quaintest and cutest New England hotels you ever will see. Since you’re staying here and not there, I suggest dining.
What to pack

Bug spray

If you plan any outdoor activities in summer, bring bug spray with DEET. At the very least spray your feet before going into the woods to avoid ticks, Lyme and other potential diseases.
