Walking distance from Southlook on right side of Outlet Pond. Access from gravel road off of parking lot. This is a gateway to Eagles Mere's private trail system and for longer hikes, connects in to the Worlds End State Park trail system. Conservancy Narrow Gauge Rail Trail
Conservancy Narrow Gauge Rail TrailWalking distance from Southlook on right side of Outlet Pond. Access from gravel road off of parking lot. This is a gateway to Eagles Mere's private trail system and for longer hikes, connects in to the Worlds End State Park trail system. In season, there is also a cabin which offers free craft and educational programming for children.
You can walk to the "Laurel Path" from Southlook. This is an approximately 2 mile loop which hugs the lake. There are some more technical rocky/rooty sections mixed with flat gravel/dirt sections. It passes through the main beach and "Edgemere" boat dock areas. Leash your dogs.

Near the end of the hike, the “Haystacks” of Loyalsock Creek are a cool geological formation and a nice area to relax. The trail follows old railroad grades, logging roads, Native American paths, and trails laid by the Boy Scouts in the ’50s.
