Food Scene

One of my favorite San Marcos restaurants, it's on the square so there is so much more to do and see while you're there.

Parks & Nature

Rio Vista might just be my favorite part of the River, come at unconventional times and it won't be crowded. It has 3 mini waterfalls and marks the end of the river that can be tubed.

Shopping

You can go to the Outlets like everybody else, but if you want to shop somewhere less crowded and budget friendly Plato's is the place to go. It's perfect because it's located next to a bookstore and a Chinese buffet!

Essentials

You can buy groceries at the mini HEB for convenience, large HEB that's open 24 hours or even Walmart on the other side of I-35. The Cornucopia is probably the only one dedicated to selling Health Food including organics, vitamins and supplements.

Entertainment & Activities

It's called The SPOT because it has movies, food, drinks, bowling, and games; what more could you ask for?

Arts & Culture

I was never much of a museum guy, but I've always LOVED cars. They have classic cars dating back over 100 years all included with the history that surrounded their time.

Drinks & Nightlife

You can go drink your face off at the square and there's many different great bars/clubs there. If you're a little tired of the college scene then Zelicks is a "Rough 'n' ready roadhouse bar" set in a 1930s gas station with TVs, games, a pool table & a patio that hosts plenty of great events I've attended.

Has one of the best views in San Marcos at night on the 3rd floor, enjoy a drink while you're there too.
