The dam at the Mooserboden is 107 m high and almost 500 m long. It spans the valley and is visible from afar. Particularly impressive is the view of this building from one of the buses that take you to the visitor center to the dam Mooserboden. In this wonderful world of technology, they can only be reached by bus or inclined lift. The buses are the only means of transport that can get you into the wonder world of technology. At an altitude of over 2,000 meters you get out and are in the high mountains. Here you have many options. Start a hike around the reservoirs or climb a summit of the Hohe Tauern.

Whether horse-drawn carriage ride, day trip, hike or even a wedding - everything is possible on this alp. In the beautiful Hofalm area, at the foot of the Bischofsmütze, there is a well-known alpine hut: the Unterhofalm, a popular destination for walkers or hikers, but also for day trippers who like to take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the green forests and the beautiful Alpine pastures. Similarly, guests come by bus or car to enjoy the beautiful scenery all around.
Getting there:
From Filzmoos it is 5 km to the Unterhofalm at 1300 meters.
In summer: via the toll road or by horse-drawn carriage
In winter: by horse-drawn sleigh or by taxi
