Bendigo's connection to the chinese community dates back to its Gold Rush era of the 1850s. The Golden Dragon Museum is home to Loong, Sun Loong and Dai Gum Loong - historic processional dragons made from colourful silk and mirrors - as well as imperial robes, other textiles, photographs, beautifully decorated documents and other social history collections. The museum is of national significance.
