White caunce farm

We have 3 properties nestled into our farm. The “Belle” a glamping experience in our gorgeous Lotus Belle Tent The converted barn “Tallulah Rose” our beautiful eco home “The Roundhouse” a wood cob and straw bale home i just wanted to introduce you to us and the set up.
We have lived here for 13 years and absolutely love it. The farm has 6 acres and 2 woodlands, it feels remote and rural but all the amenities are very near by as week as being surrounded by the most beautiful part of the world. The thing that makes West Penwith for me are the beaches and coast paths. They are wild dramatic romantic and just sim9,y breath taking. The other thing I love about it are the people. We are both artists with our studios on site. Our children are animal mad so there are chickens, ponies and rabbits!!

Nearest beauty spots

Mousehole is a beautiful fishing harbour with the best places to eat. You can easily walk into to Mousehole from The Roundhouse it’s about a 45 minutes walk across the fields. There are directions in the roundhouse. It has the best cafes and galleries. On a windy day the harbour is very sheltered it can be perfect on a early spring day. It has a small harbour beach. Mousehole is famous for its Christmas lights although they have been cancelled for 2020. All my favourite eating places are here in Mousehole. The Deli -hole right on the harbour. Fantastic cafe right on the harbour with the best views, owner and staff. The food is delicious as is the coffee.ilovethis cafe!! 2 Fore street is a beautiful restaurant with a delicious fish menu. The ship is the nearest pub . There’s a great atmosphere in this traditional pub. The rock pool cafe has great views as it hangs over Mousehole rock pool, with a great outdoor terrace! Don’t miss the Tyler gallery it’s hidden away and has exquisite work, mikes fish are often seen here. I love the walk from Mousehole to Lamorna. It’s about an hour each way.

Lamorna cove is a beautiful hour walk from the Roundhouse, In May it’s littered with bluebells. The coast path from Mousehole to Lamorna is stunning too and one of my favourite local walks. Lamorna cove has a great artistic history. The film “Summer in February “ was about Lamorna.

Sightseeing

You’ll see the mount as you drive in towards Penzance it’s my first sign after a long journey of “I’m home” The walk way is tidal which I love, it adds to the drama, but of course you do need to check tides you don’t or want to be stranded. I only went round the castle for the first time recently I really liked the tour it was interesting with some good stories. Marazion is a pretty village and the goldophin hotel has the most amazing views. It’s a good idea to book, I don’t find it very friendly or helpful here but the food and views are worth putting up with that!

I love st ives, park up at st Erth station and take the train, the train journey is spectacular. Or in the summer season the open too bus takes you the long way round which is a fabulous journey. My family love it! There is loads to do and see, lovely unique shops. The Tate gallery is fabulous the building alone is spectacular. It has a solid exhibition of artists associated with st ives, being a very significant artists place at one time The Barbara Hepworth gallery is her home and studio it’s hidden away but an absolute gem. Our favourite places to eat are Porthgwidden beach cafe, reserve a window seat, the restaurant in front of the Tate gallery on the beach is fun, and if you have a healthy wallet The PorthminsterBeach cafe is stunning for food and location.

You can easily walk to Lamorna pottery cafe from Tallulah Rose. They do great cake and if you choose to walk a little further onto Lamorna cove, it has a cafe with a dramatic view over the harbour.
