Parks & Nature

Lovely lake and park. Lots to do three. Boating, water park with big slide for kids, hiking trails, and small enough to hike around the lake. Don't miss it!

This is by far the best hike I've found in the area. Hike along babbling brook for 1 mile until you get to waterfall and basin. Turn left just before you get to Seely Campground to park. Easy/Int hike. Follow signs with hearts drawn on rocks and trees to get to falls.

Great hiking area and fantastic lookout tower. There are five fire towers in the Arrowhead area and are open from 9-5 depending on the season. They are staffed by friendly volunteers

Great hiking trail. Leads up to giant radio towers and lookout tower. Beautiful vistas. You can walk here in about 20 minutes from cabin. Turn left out the door, then right on Bear Springs Road which leads to the SB National forest on either side. There are some nice unmarked trails along the way or keep going and turn left on Strawberry Lookout Road and take that to the fire tower.

Great spot for hiking and waterfalls in Deep Creek. Also, Pacific Coast Trail is here if you want to hike a bit on that (watch for signs). Note: the Forest Service road is a single lane and a portion of the road is dirt, exercise caution in blind corners. Road is very bumpy.

This is becoming one of my favorite spots. Often there's nobody around. You need to park on the road and hike in a little. Bring a picnic lunch, there are tables and a bbq as well as a lovely pier. Take 138 to Dark Canyon Road and follow to the Southern tip of the lake. Very secluded.
