Definitely go at around 12 during the summer months because that is when the sun is right on top of the cave and the water turns that beautiful blue colour. You can stop here on your way to Antisammos beach.

The only place in Kefalonia that was not ruined by the earthquake of 1953. Definitely go to the town for a coffee, ice cream and/or meal and then go to one of the 3 beaches that are close by there. The beaches are Emplesi, Foki and Dafnoudi
