Go to New York for the day! A quick 10 minute car ride to the Charlotte Ferry, 20 minute crossing . You can leave your car on the Charlotte side of the lake , walk on Ferry, walk around Essex. Dine at the Essex Inn ! I recommend to check hours of operation and to make a reservation.
