Wichita has many food choices. We like to recommend locally owned businesses.
This place is right next door to our Burr and Sunflower Bnbs on Volutsia. It has a great outdoor space. In the front building a local shop with amazing coffees and breakfast as well. Prost is a German themed restaurant that has a variety of eats and beer on tap. There is also Taco Locale and a wine room as well as lots of other small shops that are worth checking out.

While we happen to know the curator of this establishment, it in no way influences our opinion. This is one of the best kept secrets for dining in Wichita. The food is amazing, the spirits are top notch, and the desserts are to die for. We do recommend reservations as things can get busy. George has done an incredible job with the overall dining experience. This place is a #1 choice - Kathy & Scott.

This is a fun location to grab a bite to eat and buy a book. A staple in the College Hill area, WaterMark books has an great local vibe. Its was cool way before any of the Big Box Book Stores were even a thought. Check it out.

Getting around
Ride the Q Line
The Q Line travels up and down Douglas Ave daily and is a great FREE local transportation method to hit Wichita's Douglas Design District, Old Town, and Delano. A great way to park and ride without worrying about driving. All most all of the Breweries we recommend can be reached via the Q-Line. Check it out.
