Neighborhoods

Omaha's midtown and downtown areas are full of neighborhoods to explore! We've highlighted just a few of our favorites but don't be afraid to travel off the beaten path, there's so much more to this city.
Omaha's Blackstone District shines both day and night. Lined with diverse restaurants, a lively bar scene and just a five-minute walk from our Hygge House, you won't want to miss this unique neighborhood scene.

About a mile from the Hygge House, Midtown Crossing is home to a frequently used green space and amphitheater. In the warmer months, you'll find outdoor events nearly every evening, in the cooler months be sure to check out the holiday lights! Along with the outdoor space, a few blocks of eating and entertainment make their home in Midtown as well as a movie theater. Take your time and enjoy all that Midtown Crossing has to offer:)

Welcome to Benson, one of our personal favorites often visited for the diverse food and bar scene with an emphasis on the arts. Sprinkled in you'll find vintage clothing, unique furniture, yoga, and a killer music venue- the offerings that the Benson strip brings is hard to beat. If you've made it into town on the first Friday of any given month, you'll stumble upon the BFF (Benson first Friday) crowd, a nonprofit that transforms restaurants and shops into a local artists showcase.

Bars we love

Within a 5 minute walk from our Midtown home, Nite Owl is one of the best bars in town. They've got some of the friendliest bartenders in town serving up a rotating seasonal drink list or PBR and Whisky. To top it all off they've got the best patio in town and some wicked good food (Pro tip: get the Tochos). Nothing better than a night here.

Great tacos, even better tequila selection. Pro Tip: If you happen to be in town on the first Sunday of the month, make a reservation for Brunch! But leave the kids at home, Mula's typically chill atmosphere turns to a club vibe with a DJ and dancing!
