This is one of our personal favorite places to visit in Denver. There are lots of different exhibits on various subjects from Space Craft to Ancient Egypt and everything in between! There is also an IMAX theater! One of the best places in Denver!

Boulder is a wonderful little town to explore and find cool small shops and delicious foods. There are tons of places to go hiking and sight seeing in Boulder as well. Sugar-loaf Mountain is one of my personal favorites. It is a fairly short, moderate incline hike with an unbeatable view!!

Eldarodo Canyon is absolutely gorgeous. It has many different trails for hiking, or you can sit down by the river and put your feet in. Lots of people rock-climb here, so if you are into that this would be an ideal location or you can just watch people scale the rocks and get hundreds of feet off the ground! There is also camping or daytime picnicking & grilling. It is such an amazing place that it gets very full on weekends and holidays, so make sure to get there early or preferably go on a weekday!

Lots of people rock-climb here, so if you are into that this would be an ideal location or you can just watch people scale the rocks and get hundreds of feet off the ground! Evergreen is another gorgeous area. There is a cute little town that has good restaurants. There are also tons of places to just pull off onto the side of the road and go follow a trail for a hike! Or this is a great place to just do a scenic drive through.

This is a very large stretch of land that used to be an arsenal. It was turned into a wildlife refuge. You will find all sorts of wildlife here, but the buffalo are the best to see! Trails for walking, but most people just drive around for scenic views. There is a small museum for the history of the place and the animals who live there.
