Go explore Stanley Park. The Jewel of Vancouver. I'd recommend riding your bicycle all the way around the sea wall. There's always lots going on here - outdoor festivals and recreational activities like biking and going to the Aquarium. If you're here in July be sure to go to the "Fresh Air Cinema" at 2nd Beach. Awesome beach! (Clothing optional!) Bring water and food with you because you might want to stay here all day.. Also be prepared for a big staircase up/down. Also bring cash so you can buy food on the beach! Drinking is not technically legal in public spaces in Vancouver but lots of people sell beers on the beach too. Just keep it hidden and you'll be fine.

If you plan on making a trip to Victoria, check out Harbour Air's website. https://www.harbourair.com/book-a-flight/routes-schedules/ Sometimes they have great seat sales and I've been able to fly from Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Victoria for cheaper than the cost of catching the ferry which takes 4 hours. Plus you get a pretty great view!
