Customs and culture
Internet & Phones on busy periods of the year
During busy seasons of the year like school holiday sand public holidays the internet and phones in town do not work as well ass you might expect. The town goes from being a quiet beachside town to a bustling tourist spot so the towers do not cope well. Please be patient! The internet and wifi works best early morning or late evening.
Travelling with kids
Saint George's Beach!
Saint George beach is the safest & most family friendly beach in the area offering the river and ocean as swimming options. It is NOT patrolled by surf lifesavers so I would only recommend visiting if kids are supervised.
Getting around
V-line
V-line buses are the only form of public transport to get to Lorne and along the Great Ocean Road. Check timetables online for up to date schedules.
