A local favourite and a short 7 minute drive to one the central coasts unspoilt gems. The scenery says it all and don’t miss out on the Killcare kiosk for some food or coffee and enjoy the wonderful views. It also has a lovely Rockpool where the kids can have a paddle.

A local favourite and a short 7 minute drive to one the central coasts unspoilt gems. The scenery says it all and don’t miss out on the Killcare kiosk for some food or coffee and enjoy the wonderful views. It also has a lovely Rockpool where the kids can have a paddle.
Putty Beach is a beautiful beach just up from Killcare beach. However it is not patrolled. A great place for a walk and to see the local dog owners and their pets as it is an off leash section of beach.
You can snorkel near the rocks or just enjoy the sea on a warm day. There is not usually much swell at Putty Beach towards the rocks but as always you need to be mindful of the conditions.

Bouddi national park offers plenty of great bush walks. It is the best place to go for bushwalks on the Central coast. You can take the walk to lobster beach and then turn left off at the top of the path towards box head which is a beautiful walk.

Lobster beach is a 12 minute walk from our house. It’s a bay beach with an scenic walk and view across to pearl beach. It is uphill to and back from the beach but the beach is worth it. Lovely to play with kids or just relax and have a picnic.

Wagstaffe wharf is a a short walk and has the wagstaffe store close by. Just take advantage of the relaxed vibe and sit on the wharf and watch the locals as they jump into the water on those warm summer days. If you want to head to Palm Beach you can catch the ferry across from wagstaffe wharf as well.

The best and most popular walk is the bouddi coastal walk which is accessed via the Eastern side of putty beach and you can follow it all the way to Macmasters beach. If you can only do one walk do this one.
If you don't want to walk 8 kilometres, walk only to Gerrin Point Lookout and back (2.4 km return). You'll get great ocean views from this lookout!
Or keep on walking past Gerrin Point Lookout to Maitland Bay (6 km return). Maitland Bay is a beautiful secluded beach.
