The Smugglers’ Notch Road is a State Scenic Road which zig-zags through a narrow pass in the mountains between the Smugglers’ Notch ski area and Stowe Mountain Resort. The road offers unique perspectives on the cliffs of Mount Mansfield and features some thrillingly narrow sections and tight turns. Several trailheads are accessible directly off the road and there are toilet facilities at the parking area beneath the cliffs.
