This still holds the spot as the best quality burger in the City. I have yet to find better and i've tried a lot! Their milkshakes are delicious too!

My personal favourite place to eat in Cambridge. Traditional Algerian food set in an amazing atmospheric setting. This is a family run restaurant, the service and quality of food is outstanding! Worth making a reservation as can get busy.

For some authentic English food head to the Chop House. A bit pricey but worth it! They do an amazing Sunday roast.

Possibly the most quintessentially English pub in existence. If you are a beer lover then this is a must on your Cambridge itinerary. There is a beautiful beer garden and hundreds of beers to choose from!

This is actually a Hotel but downstairs in their basement they have a beautiful romantic wine bar. Lots of little rooms to cosy up in and an excellent choice of wines. A local secret ;)

Darry's Liquor Loft is one of the cooler night time spots in the city. Recently renovated, great cocktail menu and eclectic live music. What more can you ask for!

Take a punt up the river Cam! There is no activity more Cambridge than punting and is a must try experience during the warmer months. Trinity punts is the cheapest. £16 an hour for self hire. Watch the pros before you try! Or sit back and relax and have a local guide do the punting. Top tip: Take a bottle with you to enjoy on the journey!

If you want to see some more of the countryside around Cambridge then take a walk or bike ride out to Grantchester. You can follow the river Cam starting in town the walk is about 1.5 miles. It takes you along the meadows to the picturesque village.

The fitzwilliam museum is a magnificent building on Trumpington street. Well worth a visit. It houses a fantastic collection of ancient artefacts, including knights armour and swords.
