Bars

Where to drink in New Orleans.
This is a great casual place to sit outside and grab a beer or watch a football game. There is a huge selection of beer on tap and bottled. They also offer bar food. I would recommend the cheese fries ! You can also order food from the wine garden next door. The two venues are separate bars, but are connected. You can sit on either side and have food from either location brought to you.

A hand grenade is must-have if you are visiting Bourbon Street for the first time. But be careful, these are strong!

Food scene

This bar is owned by the infamous Chris McMillian, bartender and co-founder of The Museum of the American Cocktail. The cocktail menu is extensive and every single drink is amazing. They also have a small menu of local, farm-to-table dishes. The fried chicken sandwich is a must-have. If you sit at the bar, Chris and/or his wife will likely chat you up.

Loved by locals and visitors alike, this is a go-to place for a po'boy. I would recommend the shrimp or surf n'turf.
