Outstanding ramen. Usually has a line snaking out the door, but if you go between 2pm - 4pm, the wait is significantly shorter.

This place is awesome! Yes they use donuts for their sandwiches instead of regular bread, but not the sweet kind of donut. They save the sweet kind for their magnificent desserts. Definitely try the Flying Pig with bacon and maple icing.

Sprawling Mexican restaurant that's been around since wayyyy before SoLa was SoLa. I love the Frozen margaritas, but my husband always gets Matt's Knockout. A bit pricey but worth the experience.

I seem to always end up at this place. Probably because it's awesome, particularly the happy hour. Owned by two of Austin's most famous chefs, it's a fusion between Barbecue and Asian. I love their frozen gin and tonic.

Comes from the chef of Barley Swine, which was the "it" restaurant in Austin for many years. It's a farm-to-table place that serves mostly small plates, and is known for having an incredibly inventive menu. Which means you might end up eating brisket ice-cream for dessert.
