Favourite Restaurants

Prince Edward Island is affectionately know as Canada's Foodie Island. Charlottetown is home to many fine restaurants that will suit a variety of tastes.
Sims is the go to spot in Charlottetown if you want to treat yourself to a memorable steak or outstanding seafood dish. The beef is Island raised and aged in house for a minimum of 45 days. The restaurant has an open air oyster bar showcasing oysters from various parts of the island. Sims is a great spot for a romantic dinner or gathering with friends. The lunch menu also has great options at a lower price point. My favourites: The seafood bruschetta, tenderloin steak, and mac and cheese!

Tracadie Beach is 15 minutes outside of Charlottetown. Locals love this sandy and shallow beach. Tracadie is off the beaten path and many beachgoers choose to bring their dogs here. Dogs must be on leash. Tracadie is not a provincial park so facilities are at a minimum. Bring everything you will need for a day at the beach.

Dairy Bars

Islanders love their dairy bars! An Island tradition you won't want to miss. Choose a nice night so you can eat outside.
Prince Edward Island's longest operating dairy bar is located directly in Charlottetown's Victoria Park. Enjoy ice cream treats or fresh off the grille hot meals, while taking in Charlottetown's most scenic harbour views. You can burn off your treats by taking a stroll along the boardwalk or heading to the 9,000 square foot accessible children's play area.

Breweries

PEI has embraced the craft brew scene with several breweries locate across the Island.
Upstreet carries four flagship beers, several seasonals and craft sodas. Their tap room has a casual atmosphere with some old school arcade games and board games. Their small menu is thoughtful and uses PEI products. Upstreet is a pillar of the local community that uses its business as a force of good! 10% of the proceeds of their Do Gooder Ale goes to the Do Good fund for local arts and culture initiatives.
