2-minute drive: In addition to the convenience of Safeway, CVS, Starbucks, and post office, it is a very nice neighborhood center with many small but excellent independent businesses. Below are the comments posted by HiddenSF (a good resource) for Food & Drink- -Diandas Italian American Bakery: An old-time Italian bakery from San Francisco. Coffee comes in real porcelain cups and they are well known for their cakes. -The Field Club: Restaurant/sports bar. Small but tasty menu and a full bar. -Rainbow Pizza: Good Greek pizza which is a nice variation from typical pizza options. -Wakuriya: High-end Japanese sitdown dinner restaurant. To get in it is smart to make your reservations a month in advance. -Neal’s Coffee Shop: Old-fashioned eating place popular with Seniors. Food is just OK but the service is very pleasant. -Lily’s Creperie: This excellent little cafe specializes in gourmet crepes and gelato. Very popular for a tasty snack or light meal.

20 minute drive History, watching hang gliders, climbing sand dunes and amazing sunset. Personal favor: walk north from the parking lot (the trail on the top of the cliffs); explore stops with historical information; adventure into the sand dunes (ultimate fitness training); walk down the pass way to the beach; walk south along the beach, and you will arrive at the bottom of the cliffs from the parking lot; time the sunset as you climb the stairs back to the parking lot; watch the sun sinking into the sea from the observation deck on the top of the cliffs.
