Fort Shirley is where battles between English and French occurred and has been lovingly restored by local historian Lennox Honychurch. The restoration was funded by the EU and the Canadian Government. The Fort can be found in Cabritts National Park just north of Portsmouth.

My favourite Restaurants

Madibas Beach Bar and Restaurant. Great rustic bar and restaurant on beach . Proprietors are French and Dominican and food reflects this. Lots of grilled fish and fresh salads.
This cafe is now known as Indees Beach Bar and Restaurant. Food is very affordable at Indee's and good quality. Fairly lively beach especially at weekends. Great place to watch green flash at Sunset.
