Beautiful Ocean Beach, Hot Pools, great shopping and eating houses. Home of Tourist Ships where they dock, souvenir shopping, Boutiques and cafes give this area a very exciting atmosphere. Also in Downtown Tauranga there is an Art Museum, and various significant Historic spots. Other Suburbs are Bayfair an very large undercover shopping complex, Papamoa with a large variety of shops. The beautiful Beach runs along the coast for a very long stretch beside these two places. In another direction is Fraser Cove where there are lots of shops to browse in and Greerton where again another great selection of shopping. Gate Pa has some excellent shops to browse in - Spotlight and Mega Mitre 10

Rotorua has many interesting sights to visit with the boiling Mud pools and Gysers. There is Moari entertainment and visits to Maraes', The Buried Village , and the Gondala to ride on. There are many tourist sites to visit and carry a lot of historical background regarding the early Maori days and learn the Maori protocol and traditions. Food houses are aplenty and Souviner shops.

Waihi Beach has a smaller shopping Centre with all the usual cafes and eating houses.. there is also a wonderful Beach shore where Cast fishing is very successful. Further up the road is Waihi where the RSA provides great meals.

Omokoroa is the home of The Centre. A great little shop that sells craft, brick-a-brac and turnaround clothing of a high standard.. The success of this little shop is due to the bargins to be had and all profits are put back into the Omokoroa Peninsular.

Omokoroa has a Fresh Choice Supermarket which provides a wide range of all the usual supermarket provisions. Nicely presented and friendly customer service. Open 7.00am - 9.00pm. There is a local Laundry Service, Hair dressers and Barber, Chemist, Doctors, Pizza Huts, Real Estate Agents, Corner Dairies and Takeaways.

Omokoroa provides a wonderful Skate Path and picnic area at Western Park. All weather purpose Tennis Courts are also here. The local Beach is a quiet spot to find a peaceful spot. Fishing is common off the local Jetty and there are numerous walkways which often lead you beside the waters of the Tauranga Harbour. A Barge service goes to Matakana Island four times a day.
