Great coffee, espresso, and drinks. Locally owned and operated. They roast their own beans. Food wise, not a lot, but its all quality. Great design, clean and crisp.

My favorite restaurant in town. Great food. (although the fries are overpriced, sadly, imho) Reminds me of the funky digs with great quality of both meat and vegetarian/vegan fare from Austin and Asheville. Their cocktails are good too.

Lovely family run spot, with very good Thai food, and PIZZA ! Prices are reasonable. Neighborhood isn't ideal, but its fine. I recommend their Tom Ka soup or Green Curry.

My other favorite restaurant in town. Love the Pork Belly ramen with the 1000 hour broth. Note the Oyster happy hour as well. Their specials can also be unreal. Some folks say they're hit or miss. I tend to go during off hours, the one time I went when they were busy, I wasn't as blown away. The cocktails and beer selections are very good. Funky, playful atmosphere. Great unique kids meals! (if you can keep the kids from playing with all the cool robot and Godzilla toys...that probably aren't "for touching")

Lovely Cafe and Restaurant. Closes and bit early, check the hours, sometimes as early as 4pm. The food is very very very good. Almost a water front view of the lovely boats and bay around Bristol. An unreal cute town, imho. Fortunately, it would be a bit too boring to live there, otherwise, it would be ruined by now!

Parks & Nature

One of the most "wild" feeling spots around, for this part of New England. Worth the 30-45 minute drive. Really nice walk. Rugged as a walk. Easy as a hike, for west coasters. I think its $10 parking per car if you park in their designated spot, for non-MA license plate holders.

Easy walk along above the beach and coast just east of Newport and the Mansion walk. Really nice spot, and noteworthy views. Goes behind several of the old 1910's and 1920's mansions of the Vanderbilts, etc.

A lovely set of very large greenhouses, open approximately 9-4 or 5pm. Nice orchids, Koi pond, large Norfolk Pines. Music concerts Sunday evenings in the summer months. Small entry fee. A short walk to other attractions in the park, including a kids Carousel that my son loves.
