Amazing fusion food, this started as a food cart back in the day and has expanded to a fun, social foodie place. Perfect for anyone with a dietary restriction (think GF, vegan, other allergies) they have an assortment of menu items from around the globe that suits any palate. Our favs are the spicy noodle bowls, gluten free fried chicken with kimchi (yes, you read that right) and the burmese cheese. Plus tasty, craft cocktails that won't break the bank and they make their own daily mate. If you come in and see a long line.. don't worry, it moves pretty quickly.

This is THE breakfast place, chock full of options and set in a cute old historic house near the river. They usually have a bit of a wait, but make up for it with free freshly baked scones and coffee while you wait. The scrambles, waffles and aforementioned scones (Marion berry...please!) are what's cookin'!

Drinks & Nightlife

If a remote cabin found itself in downtown Portland, this would be the bar. Cozy yet fun, their yerba mate cocktails are a doozy as are their infused blueberry vodka drinks. They have a little known late night bar menu full of delicious goodies (think, pork sliders) and beers like Rainer or PBR that won't break the bank. Perfect for a chill night or a pre-party before the next thing....

Bend doesn't do "well" with clubs... hey it's still a small town. So beware of must of them (seven, the summit, astro).... except this one. Usually with a DJ set or a live band, this is a relatively newish basement late night bar/club. Pay attention, their muted video choices behind the bars are on-pointe!

Parks & Nature

Rock climbing or just hiking Misery Ridge (Yeah, it's kinda as bad as it sounds) you'll feel as though you've been transported to the canyon lands of Arizona or Zion at Smith Rock.

Go in the early morning or for an evening stroll before sunset, once you hike up to the top, it offers a 360 degree view of the Cascade mountains, various volcanoes and buttes and the high desert. Truly beautiful and a great walking trail if you have a pup! Go-getters even bike to the top along the paved street... or you can be lazy and just drive up during the summer months (closes at sunset).
