As the Pinehurst website implores: "Step back in time in our most expansive dining room, offering breakfast and dinner daily. Executive Chef Thierry Debailleul’s amazing menu features hand-selected aged beef and signature dry seasoning rub for our steaks and chops. Menus change seasonally, invoking the fresh flavors of the area and our local farmers’ picks. The legendary breakfast buffet is known as the best in golf, and with good reason. Piano music sets the tone as you feast on made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit and Southern favorites. “The Carolina Dining Room’s fabulous breakfast buffet (is) arguably the most famous meal in golf this side of the Masters Champions Dinner.”

Overlooking the historic 18th hole of Pinehurst No. 2, The Deuce features indoor and outdoor dining in a relaxed setting. Some might call it the best 19th hole in the golf and the perfect place to end your round. The Deuce serves lunch until 3 p.m. and small bites through dusk. The bar features a variety of creative cocktails and nearly a dozen craft beers on tap, including North Carolina microbrews.

The Drum & Quill Public House is located in Olde Town Pinehurst, at 40 Chinquapin Road. Their phone number is 910-295-3193. The building in which they are located served the community for nearly a century, once housing the pharmacy and a soda fountain said to be manufactured by James Walker Tufts himself, the founder of Pinehurst. The storefront was later converted to a pub, which it remains today. Owners are committed to serving the public much as a historic “Public House” did. These establishments were expected to receive all travelers in reasonable condition who were seeking the comforts of food and drink...you won't be disappointed to stop in for a hearty lunch or dinner!
