Feedel Bistro is a culinary winner!! I have had Ethiopian food before, but nothing compares to the fresh, flavorful, and beautiful food at Feedel! There is no question this restaurant will become a local favorite and I am glad to have discovered it at their Grand Opening!
My prior experiences with Ethiopian cuisine were relatively lackluster - mushy, not particularly flavorful, and uninteresting. Feedel changed all that for me and, although the restaurant just opened on Sunday, I have been twice this week already. I anticipate it being a regular stop on my family's local restaurant circuit.
As much as I enjoyed my meal, my children enjoyed it even more - the level of spice was just right and, as my 17 year old son said, the "favors unfolded throughout the meal." My family looks forward to returning!
The atmosphere is worthy of the food - beautiful, tasteful, expertly decorated, and welcoming. The lush plants on the patio in front of the restaurant further added to the anticipation of a good experience and we were not disappointed.
The waitstaff is attentive, intentional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The bartender was delightful and made our second meal at Feedel this week a lot of fun. In my experience, the staff of a restaurant is every bit as important as the food - great food and great decor can be further improved by excellent staff and the level of skill and restaurant-specific training the staff has received shows. Well done!
Last, everything we had was delicious - the vegetarian selections were fresh and flavorful. The entree I ordered, Branzino is my absolute favorite of all I tasted. That said, the Vegan Sampler is amazing as well - and I'm not even a Vegan! The greens were tasty enough to stand on their own, but the addition of the tender lamb made the dish one I will definitely order again! The Savignon blanc was a crisp accent to a really lovely meal.
Hands down, Feedel Bistro is incredibly enjoyable and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Tell them Marykay from Your Alpaca Cottage sent you!
