With public transport-Minibus only on Fridays and Mondays you can go as cheap as 3 GEL one way. You can contact me for tips, can call the driver and advice local tips. There are some unique plants and researches done but there is something magical one feel about the nature... (there are all levels of paths. For one day visit there is to see Lake and Waterfall inside the park; first go to Waterfall (about 1.5 km) and then to Lake (about 900 meters from the waterfall)); once you reach the lake you can have a nice picnic; afterwards if you like you can do some Ziplines of all level whether inside the official national park or outside near area.
Suggested to go early in the morning and take into account that Magti sim card is mostly out of coverage area (use beeline or Geocell sim cards).

Machakhela is one of the most amazing National Parks in Adjara. It's just 40 minutes drive from the apartment. This is a beautiful place to offer more than interesting and safe hiking, great for picnics as all along the river there are some places you can get in and order food or just do it yourself such as barbecues and the most amazing part is to swim in very clear and nice river!
