After coming under new ownership, Barley & Hops has totally revamped its craft beer and food offerings. As the first and currently only sole female owned brewery in Maryland, B&H aspires to excellence in all of its offerings – food, libations, and service. B&H won the Maryland Comptroller’s Cup for Maryland’s Best Beer in 2016, along with 20 other medals, seven being Gold! A new owner brought forth a new head brewer and executive chef making this brew pub truly beer-centric. All of our selections remain fresh, seasonal, and compelling – year ’round.

The artwork on the Community Bridge is absolutely amazing! I think it's one of the things that makes Frederick so wonderfully unique and beautiful! Once, you see the bridge, you should take a look at his other works of art on the sides of some of the buildings in downtown Frederick. They truly are a beautiful sight to see!
