Dog Friendly

It's a Doggy Party! If you are bringing your furry one, I suggest parking at the southern end of the boardwalk and then walking south toward Dewey. This is called the forgotten mile. You can park for free after 5 pm and before 10 am. Dogs can run off leash in this area. Once you see the lifeguard stands, that is Dewey Beach. Dewey requires dog tags you can get at City Hall ($35 / lifetime). Dogs are also allowed in Gordon's Pond, on the left side of the jetty. PLEASE be sure to have an umbrella for them... it gets quite toasty out there, and the sand is VERY hot on their paws.
